Today is my last day at Erie News Now! As I reflect on the last two years, I’m astonished by how many lifelong friendships I’ve made and how many incredible memories I’ve created in such a short amount of time.
From a meteorologist standpoint, I got into broadcast meteorology because I wanted to use my immense passion for weather to inform people, keep them safe, and provide potentially life-saving information when they need it most. Forecasting in Erie has given me a little bit of everything. Lake-effect snow, snow squalls, ice storms, blizzards, severe thunderstorms, tornadoes, extreme cold, and so much more. I am incredibly grateful to have worked alongside such a wonderful weather team and newsroom, everyone on and off screen.
Of course, I have to give a special thank you to John Stehlin. I would not be where I am today, both professionally and personally, without his support, humor, wisdom, and overall life advice. He gave me the space to grow into my own, but never let me fall. He truly brightens each day, and I’ve had so much fun making our silly little TikToks together! Don’t worry, we’ll find a way to keep making them!
To everyone in the community who has sent me kind messages, stopped me while I’m out and about, or taken the time to say hello, every single interaction has meant the world to me. I’ve met so many wonderful people over the past two years, and those kind messages have constantly reminded me that I’m doing what I’ve always dreamed of doing.
Today will be my final day on air at Erie News Now, but you might still see me out and about around the area for a little while longer!
