Was tempted to stay in bed this Sunday, but my daughter adamantly said, “I wanna praise the Lord!” How could I argue with that? Been questioning myself lately, if I’m a good wife/mom/person/witness. 🤔 💭 Montana’s posture was a subtle reminder that we must be doing something right, surely the most important thing. Also, this is her fave worship song. Raising tiny humans while being an imperfect human = sometimes feeling 🪫.

We didn’t wanna do it. We had to do it. Living off God’s grace. Still grateful for the mercies he extends to us, including a new (used) fully loaded vehicle for our growing family. Reminding myself this weekend to enjoy the things we already have, be grateful for each other, and DO NOT live above our means. We may not have it all, but with Jesus we have EVERYTHING we need. 💯 👧🏾👦🏽🧑🏽‍🦱🐶

S/O and the entire BOLD team for a fire discussion on his work, what it looks like to feel “safe” and move as a black man/person in America, and recognizing power and influence in every arena, especially in light of the current elections. Perfect meeting you in person FINALLY after hearing your voice on audible for the last few months I took to listen through the incredible stories in “Survival Math: Notes on an All-American Family.” I rated it a five star and HIGHLY recommend, especially for black, people, and those trying to understand the black experience - cuz we a whole vibe ✊🏾🖤
