🌸 Meet Pearl 🌸

This beautiful girl, who we believe is a white Siberian Husky, has a calm soul and the gentlest heart. Found as a stray in late June 2025, Pearl was never claimed, but she’s been patiently waiting, quietly hoping for a second chance.

Despite her striking looks, it’s her delicate manners that truly shine. Pearl spends her days peacefully resting in her kennel. When she’s let out, she doesn’t rush, she looks around softly, then comes over to sit in front of you, asking with her eyes for just a little love. She knows basic commands like “sit” and listens well.

We haven’t tested her with other dogs yet, and due to her breed, we don’t recommend her for homes with cats.

The Lovely Ladies of Our Shelter! 🐾💕

🌸 Perry – 3 years old
Playful, friendly, and always up for a walk or cuddle! Perry is great with other dogs and would thrive in a home where she can be active and loved. She hasn’t met cats yet, so her feline compatibility is still unknown.

🌸 Coco – 5 years old
Mellow and affectionate, Coco is a sweetheart who gets along well with other dogs. She’s the perfect blend of chill and playful. Like Perry, we’re not sure how she does with cats just yet.

🌸 Eureka – 2 years old
The youngest of the bunch! Eureka is full of energy and curiosity. She’s dog-friendly and would do wonderfully with an adopter who can give her the structure and love she needs to blossom. Her cat experience is also unknown.

🌸 Emma – 10 years old
Our wise and loving senior. Emma is a gentle soul who prefers select dog companions. She still has so much love to give and would be a great match for a quieter home where she can enjoy her golden years in peace. Her feelings about cats remain a mystery.

🚨 SCOOTER NEEDS OUT 🚨

This is Scooter 💔 He was found as a stray in Perth Amboy dragging his back legs, paralyzed, and completely alone. We don’t know what happened to him or his background. We just know this is not the way for him to live.

🏥 Scooter is completely paralyzed in his back legs.
He needs:
🦽 A wheelchair
💊 Regular medical follow-up
🧡 A committed, experienced home that can handle the demands of a special needs dog.

Scooter gets along well with other dogs but he gets easily overstimulated and doesn’t always respect other dogs’ boundaries. A dog-savvy, pet-free home (or one with very tolerant animals) is ideal. Scooter eats and uses the bathroom on his own, however he needs assistance and a lot of cleaning up to maintain him clean.

💔 And here’s the most heartbreaking part:
Because the shelter is over capacity with dogs, Scooter spends almost all day in a crate. He hates it. He cries. He’s mentally and emotionally shutting down and this is no life for a dog who’s already lost so much.

🙏 We are pleading for a rescue or an exceptionally responsible adopter who can commit to giving Scooter not just a home, but a real chance at life.

💖Oh, our sweet Emma… how my soul hurts for her🥺

Surrendered at 9 years old in June 2024, Emma is the oldest resident at the Perth Amboy Animal Shelter. A senior girl who should be spending her golden years on a soft bed, laying in the sun, feeling real love and not behind shelter walls.

Why is she still with us?
Emma is loyal. Quiet. Calm. She just wants to be by your side. She doesn’t ask for much, she just wants peace, comfort, and someone to finally choose her.

But Emma is showing signs of her age. She’s a little stiff now, and moving around isn’t as easy as it once was. She will need follow-up care to help keep her comfortable. We are looking for an adopter who’s not only willing but ready to give this girl the gentle, loving life she’s never had before.

She does not deserve this.
She deserves comfort.
She deserves love.
She deserves to spend her final years knowing what it feels like to be safe.

Emma is dog selective and would thrive in a quiet home as the only pet, where she can finally decompress and rest. We are unsure how she is with cats, but as always, we recommend slow, supervised introductions and caution with any new pet.

🚨URGENT AT PERTH AMBOY ANIMAL SHELTER 🚨

We are officially at capacity with dogs. Our shelter is overflowing with dogs (strays, surrenders, and lost pets ) and we are completely out of space. It’s so crowded that our beloved shelter sweetheart, Ashley, is now sleeping in the front office because there’s literally nowhere else to put her. 💔

Every kennel is full. Every spare room is taken. Animals who need help, but no space left to take them in. We are at a breaking point, and we desperately need your help:

🛑 We cannot accept any more animals right now.
�🏥 We urgently need rescue partners to step in and pull animals, making room for the ones still coming in.
�❤️ We need adopters to give our shelter pets the forever homes they deserve.
�📣 We need your voice! Please share this message far and wide.
