I was never really allowed to watch Tyler Perry movies. (Coming from educated black family)I only know a handful, and I don’t even know the scenes well enough to discuss them. The scenes I do remember are very dark and uncomfortable, which is why they stand out to me.

Not to hop on a trend, but once I became a domestic violence survivor, I realized that black womanhood is the punchline of all his jokes.

My grandma knows how to speak and handle herself, so what the hell is so funny about Madea?

Hey y’all a little Update,

I’ve been posting a lot on my story about me working out and other things here and there but I wanted to share a little more.Like many have experienced 2020 has been a year of MANY unforeseen events. Starting with the pandemic but trickling down to relationships with loved ones , Mental health ,Physical Health,Financial health and so much more.While I am thankful to be secure in most of those areas I have to admit that my mental health has been challenged the most throughout this entire pandemic. I could honestly write a book about this year but about 4 months ago I decided that while I am justified in my feelings due to all of the traumatic events that have happened and still are going on I decided to intentionally work on myself by loving myself and working through my emotions the best way I know how ;by pushing myself both mentally and physically. I started by going to the gym but a literal and intentional chain of effects happened.I’ll share more in my life update video but for now I would jus like to let you all know the back story behind these 4 pictures is far more than muscle growth.I didn’t just get stronger or superficially better but these pictures show a clear increase in confidence and inner growth that radiates from me 4 months ago and now.

✨Mastering the art of persistence is a never ending journey that I am learning to enjoy and embrace.✨
