🔥 An all Black pop punk band from Atlanta is bringing Warped Tour energy back in a big way.
The Paradox formed in summer 2024 and quickly caught the attention of rock heavyweights. The four member group features lead singer Eric Dangerfield, bassist Donald Bryant, guitarist Christopher Xelan Bernard, and drummer Percy Crews. Within months, they were opening for Green Day at Truist Park in their hometown. They later shared stages with All Time Low and The Offspring, and even had Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker jump in for a cover of The Rock Show. Their sound taps into early 2000s nostalgia, but their presence is rewriting who gets to be seen in pop punk.
Online, the momentum has exploded. The band has built nearly one million followers on Instagram with the bold statement, "Pop Punk isn’t dead." Fans have called their rise healing. Many say they were once teased for loving rock music and never saw bands that looked like them. The Paradox leans into that story. In one post, they wrote, "We got clowned for listening to pop punk in high school. Now we’re dropping your new favorite song." With tracks like Do Me Like That and Bender featuring Travis Barker, they are not just reviving a genre. They are expanding it.
