It has been a while since I posted something on this page. May will be six months since I started the two hour a day (Mon-Sat) radio show for WORD FM's Great Songs of the Faith. Things are going great. Our listenership is growing, seeing more people tuning in using the WORD FM app for their phones. The radio station is non-profit and we will be having a fund raiser in September. The radio station also started a Choir. A couple of weeks ago, Bonnie and I attended their first concert. They did a great job. Right now there are 15 in the group but looking to see more people join when they resume in September.

Excited to announce WORD FM's Great Songs of the Faith have asked me to do pre-recorded programming to be aired between 6am and 8am and 3pm to 5pm. Kenny Jaye (my old radio name) will be back on the airwaves. Target date is in the fall.

I am sitting here in my studio working on some radio station tags and was thinking that three years ago yesterday I was let go from my job in the insurance business that I had for 32 years. God has been good in these three years. I decided to semi retire and collet Social Security and a small pension from a former employer, I work ten hours a week at a Golf Driving Range (weather permitting) and I love the game and the perks of being able to hit golf balls after I finish work has improved my game. I also am happy that my voice over business is doing good. I obtained two steady customers and the money I make from that and the other things mentioned as allowed me to maintain the same salary I took home from my old job of 32 years and I only am clocking in an average of 50 hours a month. GOD is GOOD!

It has been awhile since my last post on this page. I have been doing some marketing of my services and today finished more work for Great Songs of the Faith. I produced short reading of verses about giving thanks. They will be played during the month of November. I will start working on station tags with readings about Christmas soon that will be aired in December.

It is exciting to see when you use your gifts to help someone out. I produced a short video to put on a local page talking about a store in Hatboro that is going out of business. I went in to the store a few days ago to find out that they had a lot of walk in traffic and people referred to seeing the video I produced. I wish the folks at Creative Inkling all the best in the next business venture.

They say Radio is dead. Not true when you download the station app and listen anywhere. Word Fm has done just that. I have the privilege to doing voice over work for them.

Been awhile since I posted. Been using the slow voice over work time to build up some voice over skills and techniques. I have been producing a weekly Online Kids Bible Lesson for the kids in our church. If today and yesterday are signs that business is starting to pick up, I received two contracted jobs. One is providing the voice for a churches phone messaging and the other doing additional radio spots for Great Songs of the Faith. If you know anyone who may be looking for someone to do voice over work for their business (ex. web training, phone messaging or even advertisement spots for the web) let me know.

Using the time that work is slow do teach myself new or better techniques in doing my craft to make myself more marketable. I have had the privilege to produce short video Bible Lessons for our church kids during this pandemic. Here is my latest. The time is 4:23 am on Monday 4/13/20. This is my first experience working with someone overseas and having to deal with the 12 hour time difference. I was told when I get into voice over work that it is not your normal 9-5 job.

Well it only took being ordered to "Stay Home" to do a bit of spring cleaning. I needed to tackle my studio. I had all kinds of equipment, wires, etc. that needed to be looked at then either trashed, or find better storage places. In the clean I decided that I was going to move my computer desk and speakers in to my recording booth. This creates a one stop shop. I would have to record in the booth then go out to my desk and edit. The computer had to be placed right outside the booth. The computer had to be set up right outside the booth. My microphone was picking up the fan sound.

Tough day today. I am doing a recording of a book. I was getting tired of holding the book so I came up with the idea to use plastic clamps to secure the book on my monitor so I could be hands free. Well did I learn a lesson. The pressure of the clamps caused my screen to break. Lots of block blotches. However, I used the mistake and found a way to revamp my recording booth where the book now sits on a stand. Why I did not think of that first. Well accidents happen.

I did a web search to find if the screen could be fixed but only found that screens on laptops can be fixed and not monitors for PC's.
