“If people can relate, jam out to it and it reaches the people who need it, then mission accomplished for me. Bands still exist. The idea of getting your friends who have instruments together and making noise, isn’t dead. It is possible to stick through good and hard times, and still love what you do and who you do it with. I hope that our music will inspire more people to create and relate. Music is the universal communicator. It’s healing and for everyone.” - Dee Gerhart, Vocals, Chestnut Grove

World's tallest and hairiest drag queen Martha Graham Cracker joins forces with her band and special guest guitarist Nero Catalano for a brand new edition of her popular pay-what-you-can livestream show, part of the 2021 SoLow Festival.
This show will be a very high-quality livestream with ten cameras courtesy of Rocco Films at a super cool venue called The Factory, which is an amazing old theater.
The show will be 100% live -- meaning you are watching it at home while we are performing -- but if you can't join us on June 18th, don't worry. Anybody who registers for the show and can't "attend" live will receive a copy of the video after, so you can enjoy it whenever and wherever you want.
You'll be able to watch this live on your mobile device, laptop, big screen Smart TV, etc. It will be easy to watch via links that will be provided in advance of the show. Don't miss it!
SoLow Fest is a multi-genre independent festival that is essential to the theatre’s DIY scene Philadelphia. Countless artists have had their work produced in the festival and gone on to bigger and better things. The festival serves as a great incubator for new work, and fosters creative theater without the financial constraints. The SoLow Fest runs June 17th through June 27th.

The Philadelphia Globe Presents... Love From Philly.
Philadelphia, PA.
The Philadelphia Globe is a media platform focused on music, the arts, and culture in and around Philadelphia. Our mission is to provide a connected community for all artists. We aim to shine a spotlight on local artists, amplifying their visibility outside of Philly, as well as featuring our favorite artists nationwide. Through this global connection and unification, we bring you The Phila Globe.
We support our local artists, along with this is our intent to showcase musicians, artists, creatives of different types from all over and bring them into Philly's world, as much as we strive to help amplify local artists and introduce them to a broader audience outside of Philadelphia.
The Phila Globe recently launched a digital #LoveJawn initiative, something that we have launched to help bring our community of artists and musicians together through the global COVID-19 pandemic as we remain physically apart. A #LoveJawn is a 1-5 minute video shot by musicians, artists, comedians and members of our creative community that shares personal stories from inside the trenches of these strange days. Musicians often choose to have their videos end with a song they’d like to perform. Think of them like a note left in your lunchbox - short, sweet and something that will bring a smile to your face. These love jawns are a symbol of unity and connection during a time of total social isolation. Let’s stand strong together.
While The Philadelphia Globe is taking this time to roll out some updates to our site, we will feature live, in-home performances by artists from all corners of the Phila globe as a part of Love From Philly, as well as our introduction of PhilaLIVE, our show in partnership with the This is It TV Network where we are putting out a weekly (sometimes twice weekly) 15-minute program that will feature music, arts and culture in the greater Philadelphia area and beyond.
Host Jen Strogatz will sit down for one-on-one interviews with regional artists and performers as well as artists and performers who simply love our city! Episodes will also focus on upcoming live events, news, album releases and cultural events that the Phila Globe recommends.
Join us in reinforcing the feeling of community that has been lost on us during a time of global isolation and lets bridge the gap by reconnecting with humans from all over.
