🎢 Oh my, folks — Labor Day is just around the corner!

And that means the final and busiest stretch of the summer season has arrived.

Several members of the Theme Park City team, including our founders, work within the theme park and attractions industry. As they finish out their final weeks of the summer season at their respective facilities, their schedules are about to get very very busy.

Because of that, TPC will be taking a brief content hiatus over the next two weeks while our team focuses on wrapping up the season with their empolyers.

We may still pop in for major breaking news, but regular articles and social content will be limited until after Labor Day.

Then, once the summer rush is behind us, we'll be back and ready to jump straight into the fall attractions season! 🍂🎃🎢

Yes, we know we're a little late to the campsite on this one. Our social team may have slightly forgotten to post it earlier. Consider us officially caught up. 😂

Camp Timber Trail will debut in 2027, transforming the area with new attractions, refreshed favorites and an all-new woodland theme.

🎢 Headlining the expansion is Sky Hawk, a Vekoma suspended family coaster that Six Flags says will be the Midwest’s longest, tallest and fastest suspended family coaster.

The new area will also feature returning attractions reimagined within the Camp Timber Trail setting, creating a major new destination for families inside the park.

🐆 GREENVILLE, S.C. — 🚨 ICYMI, it was a wild Thursday Morning for the Greenville Zoo: For approximately 30 minutes Thursday morning, one of the world's rarest big cats was outside its enclosure at Greenville Zoo.

🌪️ Tornado touched down near Six Flags Fiesta Texas

A tornado narrowly missed Six Flags Fiesta Texas early Tuesday as severe storms swept across San Antonio. The storm caused damage to nearby businesses and apartments, but no injuries have been reported.

The National Weather Service is still surveying the damage to determine the tornado's EF rating, and Six Flags has announced that July 15 tickets will be honored later this season.

🚨 A second guest reportedly exited Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disneyland over the July 4th weekend according to TMZ.

The latest incident comes only weeks after another guest was seen exiting a ride vehicle along the attraction’s final drop, raising new attention around the California attraction.

But there’s an important part of this story being overlooked: Disneyland and Walt Disney World operate fundamentally different versions of the attraction, with different ride systems, vehicles and restraint configurations.

🚨 Four guests were injured after a falling tree struck a group near the entrance of Six Flags Over Georgia during severe weather Sunday evening.

According to local reports and park officials, emergency crews treated four guests at the scene before they were transported to a local hospital for further evaluation. Two children were reportedly among those struck.

Six Flags confirmed the incident occurred as severe weather moved through the area.
