Bucks County historian and reenactor John U. Rees will give a free virtual lecture on September 13 at 2:00 PM.
The lecture will be held via Zoom.
Rees will discuss his book, “They Were Good Soldiers: African-Americans Serving in the Continental Army, 1775-1783,” which depicts the experiences of free and enslaved soldiers of color during America’s war for independence.
A Bucks County resident, Mr. Rees has researched and written about the day-to-day life and experiences of the average soldier and has presented his work to the public through his work as a reenactor for many years.
