Statement of Assurance to the William V.S. Tubman Learning Community
September 9, 2024
To the Esteemed Members of the William V.S. Tubman Learning Community,
It has come to our attention that there are circulating rumors and misinformation regarding the potential change in the university's identification, specifically concerning its motto. We feel it is important to address these concerns directly.
The Office of the President/CEO categorically denies any intention to change the current Logo of William V.S. Tubman University. The logo has long been a vital part of our institution's identity and heritage, and there are no plans to alter it.
What the President has emphasized is the importance of enhancing and celebrating the university's mascot, which has existed long before his tenure. The intention is to foster school spirit and pride within our community, not to change a core element of our identity.
We understand that changes within the university can provoke questions and concerns, and we strongly encourage any member of our community to reach out to the Office of the President for clarification or information regarding any issues. Our doors are always open for discussion, and we appreciate the trust and dedication of each member of the William V.S. Tubman Learning Community.
