The F-Word is officially seeking submissions for our Spring 2022 Issue! 🎉🎉
At The F-Word, we define feminism as the demand for the equality of all people, regardless of gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, or religion. We firmly believe that feminist art and writing can be a powerful drive behind positive social, political, and cultural change. We aim to provide a platform that privileges the voices of women, queer people, people of color, and other ethnic and religious minorities and help them share those voices with the world. In doing so, we hope to foster dialogue and put a balanced face on feminism to show that this movement is not just for cis white women.
For the Spring Issue, we are accepting poetry, prose, academic essays, and art in all mediums. If you have pieces that do not fit into those categories, feel free to send them in and we can consider them for later issues or our blog! Entries should be no longer than five pages, and please include an artist statement and the medium alongside art submissions.
While we accept submissions on a rolling basis, pieces considered for the Spring Issue should be submitted to [email protected] by April 1st, 2022. We accept submissions in all languages and in Word documents. Non-art PDF documents will not be reviewed. Multiple submissions are encouraged!
Thank you to everyone who came to our Launch Party at the LGBT Center last Friday! It was amazing to be able to share some Federal Donuts, listen to powerful readings by several of our contributors, and spend some time with one another within and beyond the F-Word community. Our Fall 2021 issue is now officially out everywhere online and at Kelly Writers House!
You can pick up your copy for free at the entrance of Kelly Writers House. It is located at 3805 Locust Walk, Philadelphia, PA 19104 and will be open throughout the break except for Dec 24th–Jan 4th. If you have already left campus, don't worry. The Fall 2021 Issue will be available for pick up at Kelly Writers House throughout Spring 2021 as well.

If you have any poetry, prose, artwork, academic work, or other literary miscellanea that deal with feminist or social justice themes, and you would like to see your work published in this print issue, please send it to us at [email protected].
Multiple submissions are acceptable and encouraged, and we also accepted submissions in languages other than English!
