Happy March from us at Bufad Cinema 😀🎬♥️ We haven't posted much lately so in lieu of our short film, It's Not My Fault, coming to the end of its festival run... we wanted to share it publicly. It has been well over a year since its completion.
It is not without its flaws... trust me- we know this haha! However, it's a film based on a true story, and one that we felt was worth telling, and now sharing, with all of you.
We are a two person team, so this was shot, edited, acted, and produced by the Bufad Cinema duo... and was done so in a matter of two days. This is such a personal film for us both and we hope its message reaches you in the way it was intended!
Still one of my favorite interviews from The Philadelphia Independents with Mr. Brian A Wilson 🎬 ...lots of valuable info in here for those new and not so new to the industry... check it out xo #BufadCinema ❤️ #thephiladelphiaindependentsS1Ep1 #interviewwebseries

Bufad Cinema was founded in 2015 by Tom Schmitt & Julie Stackhouse in the heart of Philadelphia, PA. As for the definition of Bufad (a VERY frequent question) -it means to "binge" or to "gorge." Naturally as the founders were brainstorming, it seemed appropriate to find such a word to describe the love and dedication they had to all things involving production & film. Since their hearts lie in the arts, what better motto to use, than "binge on cinema."
As a team, they pride themselves on being filmmakers first however; quickly identified that their skills, creativity, and knowledge could lend to other organizations. By creating "cinema quality" content, businesses are now able to build their brand in a very visually compelling and interactive way. Bufad is able to utilize their resources to create and establish content while collaborating with other local artists.
Bufad Cinema provides the physical basis for works in the realms of the performing arts, new media art, film, television, radio, and video. For prospective clients, BC always start the conversation with the same question: what is the goal for this video project? Once we have established what it is that you want to create... then we get to work.
As an independent production company, Bufad is tailor-made for small businesses and emerging new artists and companies. Most importantly, they are a one stop shop. From refining script writing, production to post-production, Bufad does it all while always making sure the deadline for completion is never a cause for stress.
Stay tuned for upcoming production information, auditions, and additional projects by connecting on social media!
