This Mindful Monday for all of our young #summerofwonder readers out there, is about journaling📕🖊. Journaling helps you clarify your thoughts and feelings, and get to know yourself better. You don't have to be a great writer to journal. All you need is a pencil/ pen, and a note book. (don't have one? gather some scrap paper, fold them in half and glue/ staple the pages together! then you can go to town decorating it)
Here are some e-books on the topic-
Here and Now by Julia Denos (great mindfulness book for caretaker and young children ages 3-7) https://catalog.freelibrary.org/Record/2534174

#summerofwonder readers! It's Mindful Monday. Last week we had an introduction on the basics of what feelings are and why it is important to not only name them, but also share them. This week, we dive a little deeper by using our storytelling skills. You can tell a short story of when you feel a certain way, or make up a character of your choice! Scale up the activity by making each shape a journal prompt. Scale down the activity by encouraging children to draw out each scenario and play it as a matching game.

This is information forwarded from Congresswoman Scanlon's email list and Representative Fiedler's page: VERY important update! -- ONLY for Social Security and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) recipients **WHO HAVE CHILDREN 17 years of age or younger*. Repeating this AGAIN - This news is ONLY for those who have children 17 and under **AND who are ALSO Social Security and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) recipients**. PLEASE HELP BY FORWARDING THIS INFORMATION BELOW TO SUCH INDIVIDUALS ASAP. ~~~~~~~ **IF YOU ARE ONE OF THESE individuals, you MUST file this form below today, Wednesday April 22nd, *by noon*, OR you will not be able to get the $500 per child stimulus payment until you file taxes in 2021.** ~~~~~~ US Congresswoman Mary Gay Scanlon's office is reporting this new IRS filing deadline for Pennsylvanians with disabilities, as well as social security recipients and survivors, to receive an economic impact payment for their dependents. People receiving SSDI, Social Security recipients, and survivors will need to fill out an IRS form by WEDNESDAY 4/22 AT NOON to receive an economic impact payment for their dependents from the government. This benefit is $500 for each dependent child under the age of 17. If you receive disability income or social security benefits, have children under the age of 17, and have not filed taxes in the last two years, you need to fill out this form in order to get these benefits this year. Link to IRS form here: https://www.irs.gov/coro…/non-filers-enter-payment-info-here If you do not file this form, you will still receive your $1200 stimulus payment automatically. But, you will not be able to get the $500 per child stimulus payment until you file your taxes in 2021. Please find additional information from Community Legal Services about your rights related to stimulus here: https://clsphila.org/consumer-r…/economic-stimulus-payments/ Read the press release from SSA here: https://www.ssa.gov/news/press/releases
