We partnered with Chef Monica Glass and Kvarøy Arctic Salmon on a unique fall salmon recipe we’re so excited to share with you.

Inspired by the cozy, comforting flavors of fall and the fresh, vibrant Thai basil plant growing in Monica’s back patio, this dish is a balance of richness and lightness. Coconut milk and pureed butternut squash keep it creamy, while a finish of fresh greens and lime keep it bright and light. Poaching the salmon cooks it gently, keeping it delicately tender and giving it flavor from the aromatic broth. This recipe lets the salmon shine and is gluten-free and dairy-free to boot.

Rich in protein, omega-3 fatty acids, and various vitamins and minerals, salmon is an excellent addition to any healthy diet and can help to improve heart health, brain function, and overall well-being. We love this iteration to add healthy and delicious salmon into our cozy fall recipe rotation.

The flavor of Kvarøy Arctic salmon is informed by the farm’s breathtaking location. The waters near Kvarøy island are cool and clear, with a deep-fjord current that keeps the water fresh and helps exercise the salmon, giving this beautiful fish a pristine, clean flavor.

Please join us in celebrating our longtime friend Charisse McGill and National Farmers Market Week!

Charisse has recently been named executive director of the Farmers Market Coalition , a national nonprofit that advocates on behalf of about 9,000 farmers markets and strengthens their place in communities.

Charisse joins the organization right in time for the 24th year of National Farmers Market Week (August 6-12) and hopes to inspire participation by and open doors for BIPOC, female, and LGBTQIA+ entrepreneurs.

We cannot be more proud of Charisse and can’t wait to see what she does to support Farmers Markets across the county. Find her at a local market this week: she’s scheduled at Bethlehem Farmers Market in Bethlehem (today 8/10), the USDA Farmers Market in Washington (8/11), and Easton Farmers Market in Easton, Pa. (8/12).

Looking for a market? Be sure to check out our 2023 Farmers Market Guide at the link in bio or in our current print issue.

They recently added Sunday brunch to their offerings (make note for tomorrow) The menu features a range of Asian-influenced brunch staples, such as Chicken & Waffles with a Thai bird’s eye chili-infused maple syrup, and recipes inspired by the owners’ family traditions, such as the Chai Latte French Toast.

They have also partnered with local creators, including and to create unique dishes like Japanese milk bread for their Eggs Benedict and Avocado Toast. It seems like anyone who wasn’t down the shore this past weekend could be found at the ! And if you happened to be one of them, then you already know why this spot made our Spring/Summer checklist for great places for dining outdoors.

The Southeast Asian Market in FDR Park has been home to a business community of refugees and immigrants since the 1980s. On Saturdays and Sundays from April through October, food stands and vendors sell everything from Cambodian and Indonesian meat skewers to Vietnamese iced coffee and fresh coconut water. Local foodie and influencer Roland Bui says not to miss the Thai papaya salad with mini crabs and Khmer-style cheesesteaks.

The Good Food Foundation exists to celebrate, connect, empower and leverage the passionate and engaged, yet often overlooked, players in the food system who are driving towards tasty, authentic and responsible food in order to humanize and reform our American food culture.

Through five key programs – Awards, Guild, Alliance, Mercantile and Fund– they build widespread support for the growers, ranchers, makers and merchants stubbornly swimming upstream to create and share the kind of food we all want to eat: tasty, authentic and responsible.

Wishing everyone a very happy (restful/relaxing/exciting/adventurous) new year. Cheers to 2023!

We continue to welcome our newest Philly chapter members- meet Chef Stephanie Willis!💥

A 19 year vet in the food and beverage industry, personal chef, mompreneur and founder, Stephanie affectionately known at “Chefanie Nicole” Willis, comes from a melting pot of cultures (African American father, Filipino mother, Turkish step-mother) which has afforded her an expansive palate.

Running a restaurant whilst moonlighting as a part time caterer and being a full time mom is the fuel that fed the fire for Stephanie to take risks and double down on her career.

She’s worked with Philly’s top influencers, preparing meals for both celebrities and the less fortunate —> check out her venture Everybody Eats Philly ❤️

Stephanie’s been featured on Eater Philly, Philadelphia Magazine, Philadelphia Magazine, Vogue, hosted food vlogs MyNEWPhilly and ReMixx , won the So You Think You Can Cook 2018 contest, was recognized as one of 2019 Philadelphia’s local heroes by Edible Philly AND was a contestant on MasterChef Season 9.

Stephanie hopes to inspire young women of color interested in the culinary field to chase after their goals. 💥

Welcome Chefanie Nicole- we’re honored to have you on board!
