Advice I wish I’d heard 10 years ago… 💌

“You don’t have to have it all figured out.
You just have to keep moving.”

Early in my career, I thought leadership meant certainty.

Now I know, it means navigating uncertainty with your team, not hiding it.

Why is this?

📌 Vulnerability builds trust faster than perfection.
📌 Clarity of direction matters more than clarity of every detail.

What’s the ONE piece of advice you’d give your younger self? ✨

When AI went rogue… and accidentally boosted my engagement 🤯

So… I asked AI to create a “polished” version of my picture.

What I got back looked like I had survived both a zombie apocalypse and hiding a few more people in my jacket.

Somehow… it got posted.

And here’s the twist — that horrific image generated more comments, DMs, and conversations than any “perfect” photo I’ve ever shared.

People asked:
❓ “What happened to your face?”
❓“This is damaging your brand!”
❓“Was this… intentional?”

The lesson?
📌Sometimes imperfect sparks connection.
📌Authenticity (and a little humor) beats perfection every time.

Here’s the side-by-side for your enjoyment.
Which one would YOU stop scrolling for?😅

Empowerment isn't a gift given to us; it's a decision we make to own our voice and our space.

It's about pulling up the chair for another, and making sure her voice is heard, too.

True leadership, for me, is about creating a ripple effect of confidence and opportunity for others.

This is the foundation of building strong teams and purposeful companies.

Own your space. Your unique perspective is an asset.

Lead with empathy.

Build a culture that empowers everyone.

After years of mentoring entrepreneurs, I realized that one of the biggest gaps wasn't a lack of a good idea, but a lack of equipping teams with tools that truly scale their potential.

This realization became the North Star for Superagent.

Building a company is a masterclass in perseverance, and I've learned that a vision isn't enough; you need a culture that can bring it to life ✨.

From late night white boarding sessions, to celebrating small wins, every step has been a testament to our collective drive to create something meaningful.

It’s been an incredible journey, and we're just getting started.

I'd love for you to follow along on this journey. What’s one piece of advice you’d give to a founder in the early stages?

My first ten years in business were a masterclass in rushing. I thought that speed was everything, the fastest to market, the quickest to scale.

But I learned that to move people and organizations toward new technology, trust is everything.

It's not about being first; it's about being the most trusted guide.

For insurance agents, this means introducing AI not as a replacement, but as an ally that gives them back their time to do what they do best: building relationships 🤝.

It’s the very ethos behind what we're building at Superagent.

Remember:
➡️ Build trust early. Don't rush implementation.
➡️ Pause before pivoting. Take time to understand the human element.
➡️ Empower your team by solving their pain points directly.

What's the biggest hurdle you've faced when trying to introduce a new technology to your team? Share your experiences below 👇

When I first became a founder, I didn’t know my most important new job title was: Chief Sales Officer.

Pitching investors, hiring teammates, convincing the first users... it’s all sales.
Because if you can't sell your own product, no will be able to.

And at first, I didn’t feel like I belonged there either.

So when my co-founder Milan shared that sales didn't originally come easily to him, I got it.

That shift from selling a product to serving a mission is everything.

🎧 If you’ve ever sold something you truly believe in, this one will land.

There’s a satisfying moment during a demo when you can tell the shift happens.

They’re not just “interested.” They’re already thinking about who on their team could use this, now.

That’s what happened this week when we showed BOOTlcamp to a few sharp sales leaders.

This week’s Roundup captures the shift and what else insurance teams should brace for:

→ A data breach that hits “most” customers
→ 2M Texans losing health coverage?
→ And the insurance workforce walking out the door...

12,000+ 5-star reviews. One common thread: the humans behind the policy (just met the Formaxx AG team outside Frankfurt).

What stood out wasn’t flashy tools or fancy decks but how seriously they take the craft of advisory work. Their agents go through 12 months of training not just to memorize products, but to learn how to actually engage customers, understand their needs, and act as real partners.

What they call “advisory” is... different. More holistic. More human.
And the results show: over 12,000 five-star reviews from real clients.

Bootcamp is a big part of that. It’s not a linear checklist. It’s a flexible, real-world ramp where people get to start from where they are and learn by doing.

Some agents fly through. Others need more time. Both are valid.

That mindset -meeting people where they are- is something we deeply believe in as we build Superagent. The idea isn’t to replace human advisors. It’s to help them do their best work faster.

We’ve built BOOTlcamp to reflect this kind of personalized ramp. It meets each agent where they are right now.

Growth shouldn’t feel like punishment.

But when small agencies can’t afford to “hire 10 and make 1 productive,” they stop hiring altogether and just keep adding hours.
Until they hit max capacity… and stall.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

The real unlock?
Changing the economics of productivity.

How are you rethinking onboarding in your org?

One of the biggest shocks after selling my EdTech company and stepping into insurance:

How little we’ve borrowed from the fields that already solved engagement.

In education, gamification is everywhere.
Streaks. XP. Micro-wins. Real-time nudges.

And it's not for cool points, it's because gamification works.
It keeps your team engaged while they learn hard or time-intensive content.

Sound familiar?

Sales reps get asked to perform under pressure, master complex skills, and stay consistent, often with no feedback and no real sense of progress. And over time, it wears them down.

We’re now building the best of EdTech into SUPERAGENT so sales teams not only have access to the best training, but also to personal momentum.

📚 I pulled together 8 of the most effective gamification strategies from my time in EdTech, and how you might steal them for team.

Have you already implemented any of these strategies successfully? If not, which is the most appealing to try with your team?

It’s live.
It’s easy.
And it’s already helping agents get through tough calls with more confidence.

We launched LIVE|assist this week, real-time guidance while you're mid-conversation: https://hubs.ly/Q03yr6Hm0

No toggling, no dashboards. Just help the moment it matters.

This one took quite some time to build and make so simple. Seeing people use it feels incredible!

And because we’re building out loud, we also dropped the first video version of the Insurance SUPERAGENT podcast too.

Join the momentum below for the full Roundup + this week’s most intriguing headlines in Insurance.

Unfortunately “giving it the ole college try” doesn't work in the start up world.

This photo is with my grandmother, who never once said it.
Like the rest of my family, she believed in tough love. Results. No excuses.

Growing up in Ukraine, it was okay to either win or learn, but no gold stars for effort.

So while it was tough, I'm thankful because that same mindset informs the way I build teams today.

It's not unusual to get applause for trying here in the U.S.

But founders like me can't afford to celebrate what doesn't pay off in startups, AI, or in this world that's increasingly automated and outcome-driven.

It's only the results that count.
Hard truth. Clear bar. That’s what elevates teams.
