Fresh German 🇩🇪 Stollen is officially available in store! This is made only once a year for Christmas! Available in cinnamon sugar or powdered sugar.
Pro tip:
Warm it for 10 seconds, add small dab of butter 🧈 and its a perfect treat with tea (add some local honey we sell and even better!).
Lochel's Bakery has your Stollen, Springerle Cookies, pfferneusse cookies, sand tarts, nut rolls, babka... all the hard to find but so delicious goodies!

A huge thank-you to all who showed interest in our Trump Gingerbread Houses! Your support means so much. Pre-orders have sold out, but we’ll have 6 extra houses available in-store on Monday, Dec. 22—first come, first served. Stop by early to snag one!
Stay tuned because by the end of this week, we’ll be announcing a pre-order–only cake alternative to the houses, complete with ordering instructions.

Our Christmas menus are just a sampling of what we offer! We also carry many additional specialty Christmas items not shown. These menus don’t include some of our favorites—donuts, butter cookies, gourmet cupcakes, cheesecakes, delicious cake rolls, and so much more.

Throw back Thursday. Throwing it way back to the 1940s. This cake is a classic Lochel's Bakery original. The wedding was held in Philadelphia, near the original location at 2nd & McKean in South Philly. It was a joyous family occasion, celebrating the union of one of the Lochel family members, and the cake was a crowning highlight of their special day. The Lochel brothers were proud of their baking! Although 80+ years have passed, one thing remains unchanged, cake is a celebration! ❤️ Lochel's Bakery

We’ve gained 800+ new followers since our now-viral gingerbread house was posted! We wanted to take a moment to share a little information about Lochel’s Bakery with all our new (and longtime) followers.

🎂 We’re a third-generation bakery, with our baking roots dating back to 1942.
🎂 We bake daily on the premises from scratch using original recipes, along with new creations—we’re always trying new things! Since everything is made fresh and our donuts are fried daily, we do sometimes sell out. For specialty items, we always recommend ordering in advance. Popular items like butter cakes, cheese danish, cream donuts, and sticky buns can sell out quickly.
🎂 We create beautiful decorated cakes and are proud to employ extremely talented designers and pastry staff. We foresee this part of our business continuing to grow, which is why we’re currently looking for additional weekend help.
