WKDU Philadelphia 91.7 FM is Drexel University's award winning college radio station. We are operated by Drexel University students, with several Drexel alumni serving as on-air DJs. We are the only free-format non-commercial radio station in Philadelphia. Our transmitter is located on the roof of Van Rensselaer Hall in Powelton Village, and our studio is located in the basement of the Creese Student Center.

We’re happy to announce that the Thrifty Disco will be BACK for the 2025 EMM! On October 10th, we’ll be partnering with for a night of dancing and and ALL-VINYL set with the help of our EMM DJs. All proceeds will go to Philly Aids Thrift and our EMM partner

We’re excited to announce our partner for the 2025 Electronic Music Marathon: !

Founded in 2002, Juntos has taken an active role in the development of immigration-focused community organizing and education as well as grassroots initiatives to directly aid Philadelphians in protecting themselves and supporting their friends and family. Through their work informing residents
citywide about their rights and providing helpful resources for all ages, the organization seeks to alleviate the inhumane conditions often faced by members of communities all over the city.

We hope you’ll join us in supporting Juntos and strengthening communities and the framework that those at risk can depend on.

WE’RE BACK AGAIN! WKDU is gearing up for our annual Electronic Music Marathon fundraiser, bringing 84 hours of nonstop DJ sets to your airwaves October 10th through 13th. If you’re unfamiliar, the EMM is our annual fundraiser for a Philadelphia non-profit of our choice, where we invite DJs from around the city and beyond to visit the station, play music, and help us fundraise in support of our local community. DJ signups are officially OPEN, so if you’re interested in contributing to 84 hours of electronic music and assisting those in need, go to the link in our bio! We’re so excited to be working with again and tabling Lawn Jawn next Friday, May 30th from 12-6pm! There will be food trucks, vendors, other tabling organizations, raffles, and live music all day long! We’ll be outside the URBN Center Annex so come say hi :)

We are back again with another Thrifty Disco on Saturday June 14! Put on your disco pants and come on over as we raise money for Philly Aids Thrift + KDU (and get special treats from Darnel’s Cakes). It has been so much fun reviving this event and we hope to see you there! Hope you’re as excited as we are for another great night of disco.
