WKDU Philadelphia 91.7 FM is Drexel University's award winning college radio station. We are operated by Drexel University students, with several Drexel alumni serving as on-air DJs. We are the only free-format non-commercial radio station in Philadelphia. Our transmitter is located on the roof of Van Rensselaer Hall in Powelton Village, and our studio is located in the basement of the Creese Student Center.
For July, Pol Haus brings on the talented afro.fem to the KDU decks.
A producer and DJ, afro.fem (.fem) has been driving addictive club & techno hitters throughout the city for parties like Bass Down Low, BUMP, High Tech Soul, and so many moreeee ʕ·ᴥ·ʔ Find them regularly on Great Circles with their show Universal Wi-Fi!

40 years ago this month David Mancuso hosted his final loft party at his Prince Street residence. Since the weekly party’s inception in 1970, David introduced a number of New York invitees into a world where music was king, and no differences mattered. His curated playlists introduced America to percussive Latin dance beats, the steady beat of the Philadelphia sound, and the electronic thrum of proto-house. David’s parties became THE template, and changed dance music culture as we know it. From 11pm Friday to 10am Saturday, WKDU is airing the songs from the setlist of his final Prince Street party to share the beauty of the music with the station’s listeners.
We’re back at it y’all!! It felt SO good to dance dance dance inside of after so long — we hope to see ya for the next disco on Saturday June 22nd for an all vinyl edition featuring , , and our very own !!
Back in March, we raised over $5K to help fund HIV testing services — tell a friend to tell a friend and lace up your dancing shoes so we can raise even more money on the 22nd 🎈🎈🎈

Billy Bevevino is a Philadelphia based artist known for his eclectic performancesand productions that infuse classic samples with analog elements. Billy’s sets,which have surpassed 5+ hours, are a high-energy synthesis of Garage and DeepHouse infused with inspiration from Disco, UKG and Hip-house.
Billy has been performing and throwing parties for almost a decade. His music andevents (through his collective Rock The House) are focused on dispersing upliftingenergy and promoting positive communities.
