The truth is, many of them are generic at best. “Plan your content.” “Be authentic.” “Have a consistent aesthetic.” Despite the social media marketing noise out there, we’re going to take a stab at sharing some social media suggestions that we hope feel actionable: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💡 Become a more avid social media user. Follow accounts that you love and notice what type of content you're saving or DMing to your friends. Notice posts that you think are great, and think about how you can replicate them for your own brand. Make a note of brands you think consistently share content you’re engaging with, and notice what you like about it. Notice your user behavior and how that can inform a more engaging brand strategy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💡Use your call to action wisely. Respond to the ever-changing IG algorithm by asking your followers to “share” and “save” the post versus only liking and commenting (one of IG's most recent updates in the algorithm!) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💡Use your posts to drive email sign-ups. Let them know that “something big is coming soon” and they’ll get early access if they sign up to be on your email list (which is honestly a more valuable marketing channel in many cases.) Just don't forget to pay it off with great email content for them! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

💡There's a reason you're seeing so many "This or That" type polls in IG stories! It's impossible not to play along, and our engagement there is allowing that brand (or person) to show up more frequently in your feed. Make social engagement fun for your audience this way, and they'll be happy to see your stuff pop up. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
