Voice talent company 81 Produce announced that voice actress Emi Shinohara has passed away last September 8th. She was 61 years old.
The actress was undergoing medical treatment for an unspecified illness, but the treatment was not effective.

She is best known as Makoto Kino/Sailor Jupiter in the Sailor Moon series.

Netflix suffers "the biggest leaking disaster in anime history, DAN DA DAN, Ranma Remake, and Mononoke Anime Leaked

On August 6, 2024, leaks of the Mononoke movie and DAN DA DAN and Ranma remake anime adaptations appeared online ahead of Crunchyroll and Netflix debuts.

The content hasn’t just appeared on social media either, with some making it onto torrent websites as well in what appears to be a huge breach for Netflix.

Those in the anime community have been reacting to the news online, pointing out its huge significance. “This might be the biggest leaking disaster in anime history,”

It has been announced that voice actress Noriko Obara, who played the role of Nobita Nobi in the anime 'Doraemon' for 26 years from 1979 to 2005, as well as boy roles such as Conan in 'Future Boy Conan' and Tsuyoshi Hiyoshi in 'Voltes V,' the female leader of the three villains in the 'Time Bokan' series including Doronjo in 'Yatterman,' Oyuki in 'Urusei Yatsura,' and Claudia in 'The Super Dimension Fortress Macross,' passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024.
