There is something profoundly different about seeing 25 years of your life reflected back to you as a body of work.
This published piece is not simply about what I have accomplished. It is about finally being able to see the architecture connecting all of it.
The modeling. The photography. The writing. The books. The music. The millions of streams. The monologues that first went viral in 2015. The extraordinary resurgence in 2018 that generated 21,422,339 Instagram likes in a single year. Stoic. Billion Dollar Voice. The businesses. The mentorship. The fashion. The philosophy. And now, The Queen of Shade Magazine.
For years, these could have looked like separate careers.
They weren’t.
They were one vision teaching itself different languages.
Modeling taught me image. Music taught me emotion. Writing taught me precision. Photography taught me perspective. Business taught me ownership. Life taught me endurance.
Perhaps that is what moves me most about reading this piece: realizing that I wasn’t wandering between disciplines. I was gathering the tools necessary to construct the world I had been carrying inside me all along.
Virality was never the destination.
Ownership was.
Twenty-five years later, I don’t look at what I’ve built and see a résumé. I see an ecosystem—one mind expressed through music, words, imagery, fashion, philosophy and enterprise.
The same mind.
The same voice.
The same hand.
The same vision.
I spent 25 years becoming the person capable of building all of it.
And I’m still building.
