We are SO happy to finally get the word out about the tremendous project we worked on for the American Red Cross. So honored to be a part of this ground breaking work.
Out of the Blue Productions produces 3 hours of content for new American Red Cross eLearning training programs
Philadelphia, PA
Launched in January 2019, the new American Red Cross resuscitation curriculum is a groundbreaking eLearning training program aimed at improving resuscitation outcomes in healthcare facilities nationwide. (www.redcross.org/healthcare).
The Red Cross collaborated with Out of the Blue Productions (OOTB) to produce the video content and the accompanying photographic images. These videos ranged from informational explanations, to practical demonstration, to mock scenarios.
In total, OOTB and the Red Cross produced over three hours of video and interactive video content, as well as hundreds of images. To create effective, realistic and engaging videos, OOTB recruited and cast real healthcare providers (from doctors to nurses to technicians) as talent. Filming occurred in active healthcare facilities and training centers.
“We appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with Out of the Blue on this project,” said Danielle DiPalma, the Product Manager from the American Red Cross.
And Danielle, we appreciate working with the American Red Cross and were honored to be chosen for the huge assignment.
The Temple University Hospital Acres of Diamonds 2019 Gala is now in the books! Out of the Blue was so inspired with Temple's world class level 1 trauma care and proud that our videos helped them raise over $1.5 million for their Trauma Center and their vital needs.
We met with several of the trauma team, dove deep into their stories, and then camped out at the trauma bays for a week to document the trauma team in action. Here are the results:
Out of the Blue Productions is so proud to have been a part of the Philadelphia Youth Network, Inc. 20th anniversary last month.
PYN's vision is "to alleviate poverty and inequity through education and employment."
Over the last 20 years PYN and their partners have helped to create more than 192,000 high quality opportunities for Philadelphia's young people. They've built solutions for education and employment that equip our young people with the tools and resources necessary to thrive in an evolving workforce.
We fell in love with their mission and agreed to be the video sponsor for the anniversary gala and created illustrative stories about three very special alumni. They told of dropping out of school, lack of direction, or even homelessness before PYN helped turn their lives around. It was a wonderful evening, filled with corporate partners, employers, and grateful alumni who have made this group so successful.
If you’d like more information about helping support this wonderful organization OR possibly have job/education opportunities, please feel free to visit
One of the most exciting things about video production is the opportunity to travel to beautiful locations. This weekend, Ron and Vikki traveled down to scenic New Orleans for a shoot...can't win them all. Have a great weekend everyone!
In Vino, Vita! Out of the Blue was the video sponsor for Fox Chase Cancer Center's "In Vino, Vita" Gala last Saturday. Take a look at our blog to read about our experience making the video and the great work being done at Fox Chase, or check out the event page here: https://www.foxchase.org/giving/events/vino-vita to watch the video!
A little recap of 2016 here at OOTB! Check it out on our blog!
Woosh! That’s the sound of the past year running by. Looking back, we have gone through so much here at Out of the Blue in 2016. There was a lot of laughter (like when we used PAs and stuffed animals to block out the family scene of one of our 2016 Temple Health commercials), some occasional crying…

What makes a great story? People. Passion. Precision. Production.
At Out Of The Blue Productions, we capture stories…of people, of heartache, of triumph, of caring. We’re your partners., making everything easier for you, and the people we put on camera. And, we never lose sight of what’s important – crafting stories that truly connect, and make memorable impressions – beautifully, on time and on budget. And doing whatever it takes to get it all done right.
Our 20+ years in production translates into "We Get It."
We can take even the most complicated concepts and transform them into incredibly engaging content for your audience. We are highly skilled at making our subjects, whether they’re doctors, patients, real people or actors, feel incredibly comfortable in front of the camera, and our clients extremely comfortable with the end result.
COVID-19 had effected all of us in so many ways. Out of the Blue was asked to help create social media videos for Temple Health on their vital new treatments for high risk patients. We're honored to help spread the word.
In 1995, Ohio Humanities awarded a $10,000 grant to the Dennison Railroad Depot Museum to help fund RidingTheRails, a documentary from American Experience | PBS and Out of the Blue Productions telling the story of the 250,000 teenagers who left their homes and hopped freight trains during the Great Depression.
Riding the Rails makes its streaming debut on Amazon Prime, iTunes, Comcast (USA & Canada) TODAY! The film features a rich soundtrack of American folk tunes, including songs by Woody Guthrie, Elizabeth Cotten, Doc Watson, and Jimmie Rodgers.
This is really cool - love seeing people coming together .
