oblem solve while collaborating with different people in different places every day. I knew I found “my thing” pretty early when I noticed the world falling away while I’m shooting - it’s magical.

I wanted to introduce y’all to Vera, our new dog. Vera was previously living on the street in Puerto Rico when someone dropped her off at a rescue. A very kind soul was willing to fly with her to JFK where we picked her up in late July. Loretta has been wanting a dog since Ruby brought Franklin to college (where he is now in his sophomore year.) Vera has gained weight (from 5lbs to 7 lbs) since being rescued, and her fur is growing back in. She’s a very laid back and sweet girl unless there’s food to be had. She’s somewhere between 2 - 5 years old. We are both glad to have a four legger back in our daily lives.

Big weekend coming up, the Melissa Tevere Band is playing June 7th in Cooperstown NY! I would describe the music as indie singer/songwriter with definite rock n roll mixed in. Then the following day (June 8th) the tour bus stops for the West Philly Porchfest 2024 where Fantastic Frank and the Franktones featuring Frank take the stage at 4:30 for a 90m set. Typically an electric and eclectic blues trio but for this date we will be adding a special guest on keys! See prior post for more details on this one. Paul Shannon

One of the best images I've seen of the eclipse was taken by my wife, Loretta with her phone. We flew out to Indiana for our first totality and stayed on my good friend Andy's farm. It would have been a great time regardless.

As totality approached I chose to just put my camera down and just watch. The temperature dropped 15 degrees, the wind died and the birds went silent, then the stars came out. The entire horizon, all 360 degrees was sunset colors. This will not be my last totality!

I love that commercial photography allows me to problem solve while collaborating with different people in different places every day.
