Yawn. Facebook sucks so much. They lie about their analytics, they lie about the value of the dollars you spend here on ads, they intentionally knock out local media outlets by LYING ABOUT HOW THEIR ADS WORK, they f**k up power structures around the world, they homogenize the public dialogue, they sow division for profit, it goes on and on. F**k this steaming pile of s**t. If you want to support real media and local art and news, then come find us. We don’t dance in this graveyard anymore. 603 203 4766. PO Box 3667, Phil, PA 19125.

So I delved back into this s**t world to make that post yesterday and lingered to poke around a bit and it turns out a bunch of people are mad at McDonald's for failing to provide enough Mulan sauce after saying they would provide it because a cartoon man they like said it was really good. If you're legit angry at McDonald's because the fake sociopath scientist said he liked a thing they made and you didn't get to try it, you're not allowed to read the Admirer anymore.

I guess I stopped putting stuff up online. That's kind of what's happening now. There are 3 issues not released online. I don't think I will put anymore online. I am against online being the main place. It's not necessarily evil, but it can't be the main place. My thing is paper only now. Subscriptions exist if you would like one.

The first person to text me their address gets to be my new pen pal. I have 1 extra postcard. 603 203 4766. When I edit this post to say closed, it's closed.

Edit: Closed. Pay attention for future extra postcards. ❤️

If I made a podcast every week that was basically just me reading the Admirer aloud, asking some game show questions, and featuring a local musician or writer to play a song or two or read a thing at the end, would you listen to it?

Hi there, I’ve long been a fan of the Secret Admirer. I used to live in Fishtown but moved out of Philly proper two summers ago. Upon visiting town this weekend I was really happy to see it’s now a monthly mag. Just wanted to give a shoutout, a congratulations and say how much I love your work. You go!
Y'all had a mention in this little jawn about the most shocking news.
The Ronstadt Generations return to the Trinity Spotlight Concert Series in Berwyn, PA (Philadelphia suburb) on Saturday, July 8th from 7-9 PM, in a tribute concert to the life and music of founding band member Michael J. Ronstadt (younger brother of singer Linda Ronstadt). Representing five generations in North America, Ronstadt Generations (now called Ronstadt Brothers) continues the family’s musical traditions. Started by Michael J. and his sons, Michael Gilbert and Petie (multi-instrumentalists and solo performers in their own right), they present an exciting repertoire that preserves the traditional Southwestern and Mexican songs of their heritage while offering innovative original material that stretches the boundaries of folk, blues, jazz and beyond. Local friends and musicians joining the Generations on stage include singer-songwriter Craig Bickhardt. There is no charge for admission but a free will offering of $20 per person is recommended. For more information and Free RSVP Tickets visit: https://spotlight-concerts-ronstadt-generations.eventbrite.com Trinity Presbyterian Church is located on Berwyn Avenue, 1 block south of Route 30 (Lancaster Pike) in Berwyn, PA. Parking is free. The GPS address for the main church parking lot is 51 Waterloo Ave, Berwyn PA, 19312. The church is one block from the Berwyn train station (Septa's Paoli-Thorndale line). Overheard: Mom: you're so pretty. You're going to break all the boys hearts, ya know! Daughter: yeah, I know but I'm also going to burn their hearts with intelligence. They better keep up.
Why have you only been putting even-numbered issues on the Tumblr?
