I got a chance to run with some much older/much bigger guys yesterday. Taking every chance to get better.

Getting in some last minute work before the league championship later this week. This was hard, but I know every second counts.

3x200 (walk back 100)/100 all out. 10 minute recovery between sets. Also worked on the start a bit.

At one of my track meets, I asked to run the 1600. I won the 7thgrade boys race and promptly told my mom I never wanted to do that race again.

Until the next day when I asked her to find me another race. Today, I ran the Masonic Mile - and won! Time was about 5:35.

I initially paced with an older runner, but felt strong and dropped him going into the 4th lap. The video is my final lap. So fun!

The video isn’t the best this time and my time wasn’t either, but sometimes you take the win and learn from it. I relaxed a bit too much between the curves and had more to give. Learn with each race. Get better. 3-0 on the season. Also switched it up and did the 4x4 instead of the 200. We killed it and it was so fun to be on a relay!

My teammate pushed me a little harder at today’s meet! I got another 400m win. We both got PRs!

Had my first ever track meet today and won the 400 (lane 4)! Still a lot to learn. I know I can get better as I run the race more, but happy with a win!
