The city is full of stories and history. The Philadelphia Register of Historic Places only captures some of them. To understand what is missing, the Philadelphia Historical Commission will host a Cultural Preservation town hall event on Thursday, October 13 at 6-7:30 PM at the Community College of Philadelphia’s Center for Building and Industry (1723 Callowhill Street). You're invited!
This event is part of the Cultural Resources Survey Plan and Pilot Project.
The Cultural Resources Survey Plan and Pilot Project explores how to recognize Philadelphia’s vibrant histories. The goal is to make a more inclusive preservation process. We’ve partnered with The ROZ Group, Inc., Little Giant Creative, and Partners for Sacred Places to make a plan and test it with a pilot project.
Now we want to hear from you. What is Philadelphia's culture? What is cultural heritage? How can we identify and protect the institutions, traditions, or courageous acts that represent cultural heritage?
We look forward to seeing you on October 13. Please share this event with your neighbors and community!
