In the 1980s, a series of inexplicable fires terrorized hundreds of families. Houses were reduced to ashes: furniture, memories, and walls vanished in the flames. But firefighters began to notice a chilling pattern. Amid the charred rubble, they always found one object intact, without a single trace of soot: a painting of a crying child. Legend says that the painter, a man named Bruno Amadio, made a dark pact to ensure his works became famous. It's said that the child in the painting was an orphan who had survived a fire in which his parents perished, and that his gaze carries a curse: "where the child hangs, fire will come." My great-aunt owned one. She always said that at night she could hear real sobs coming from the hallway. One night, a short circuit set the entire room ablaze. When the firefighters pulled the painting from the embers, the child was still crying, the canvas cold to the touch while everything else continued to burn. Many say that if you have one at home and stare into its eyes at midnight, you can see the reflection of flames coming for you. I gave mine away years ago, but sometimes I still feel like someone is crying in the empty rooms. Would you have a painting like that in your living room just out of curiosity? 👇
