Best time to travel: all year!

The dry season from April to September is recommended, We traveled in September and still got these views, you just need a little luck.

Bring only the essentials: passport or ID, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, snacks for the trip, a waterproof jacket, and altitude sickness pills if it's your first time at this altitude.

To get to Machu Picchu from Cusco, you'll need to go to Ollantaytambo, where the trains depart for Aguas Calientes.

From there, you'll take a bus that leaves every 20 minutes and takes you up to the citadel.
It's important to book your tickets in advance. The best circuit is circuit 2 but it was sold out for us.

We took two Circuits 1 and 3: which has the famous panoramic views you see on postcards of Cusco and you get to walk through Machu Picchu
