Veterinary care has become another pressure point in the American household budget, where even the most devoted pet owners are being forced into impossible math. A PetSmart Charities-Gallup study found that more than half of U.S. pet parents have skipped or declined needed veterinary care, with 71% citing cost as the reason, while 94% of veterinarians say client finances limit recommended care.

Now, Dr. Kelly's Surgical Unit is bringing its low-cost veterinary surgery model to Flagstaff, giving Northern Arizona pet owners access to affordable procedures and preventive care at a time when the rising cost of everyday life is reshaping how families make decisions, even for the animals they love most.

Tax season had its moment. Now Oakley's Oath is giving Scottsdale a very satisfying reason to clear the clutter. The Scottsdale-based nonprofit is hosting a free community paper-shredding event from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, May 16, in the Roaring Fork parking lot at 4800 N. Scottsdale Road. Mother’s Grace doesn’t just talk about showing up — we do it.

In the past two years, we’ve supported 800+ households with real, immediate needs — from rent and mortgage assistance to counseling, medical care, and even funeral costs. We’ve also provided 500+ grocery and gas gift cards and logged nearly 1,000 volunteer hours this past year alone. Because sometimes the most meaningful kind of support looks like dinner taken care of, gas in the tank, and one less overwhelming thing on a mom’s plate.
