If a person were to speak
the most beautiful
or cruel words
in another language,
It would not matter,
for you would not hear them
nor understand them.
And so,
if a person chooses to speak to you
in a way that does not stem from love
or honour the full beauty and depth of who you are,
you may remind yourself
that their words need not hurt you,
for you are merely speaking different languages.
And you may allow them to become lost in translation.
