In the 1870s, the city of Liège in Belgium conducted an unusual experiment involving cats as mail carriers. The Belgian Society for the Elevation of the Domestic Cat trained 37 cats to deliver messages in small waterproof bags attached to their necks. The cats were released in villages around Liège with the goal of returning home with the mail, similar to how carrier pigeons operated. While some cats did successfully return, the overall results were inconsistent, as the cats tended to follow their own whims rather than strict delivery routes. Due to their unreliable nature, the experiment was never repeated."

Winter is incredibly hard on stray cats. Cold nights, empty bowls, and nowhere dry to sleep can be life-threatening. If you’re helping outdoor cats, skip blankets — they absorb moisture and can freeze. Straw is a much better option because it stays dry and helps retain warmth. A simple shelter, fresh food, and clean water can make all the difference. You may not save them all, but you can help one survive the winter.

Mankind is spiritually broken, apart from God’s love and guidance.

Cats are one of God’s most gentle and loving creatures.

This cat didn’t disturb anyone.
It didn’t ask for attention, comfort, or kindness.
It was just trying to survive in a world that keeps telling it to go away.

Stray cats aren’t “dirty.”
They’re not a nuisance.
They’re animals left behind by human choices, doing the best they can with whatever scraps of safety they find.

Every time someone shooes a cat away, that cat doesn’t understand anger or blame.
It only wonders what it did wrong… when all it ever wanted was a place to belong.
