Today I drove to Corbin to see Egypt.

I guess Brian was there too. šŸ˜‚

One of my favorite stops between my regular trips from Knoxville back home to Indianapolis is Brianā€™s Sports Card Corner in Corbin, Kentucky.

This is one of my favorite parts of traveling through small-town USA for the hobby. You find these shops that have been doing it forever, packed wall to wall with cards, memorabilia, wax and storiesā€¦and you get to spend some time talking shop with good people.

I got to dig through the cases, buy a pretty healthy stack, randomly run into a buddy while I was there, and of course pay my respects to the individual who actually runs the operation: Egypt šŸˆā€ā¬›

And because this is Corbin, birthplace of Kentucky Fried Chicken, you can make one stop for cardboard and another for fried chicken history.

This country is incredible. šŸ˜‚

If your travels take you through southeastern Kentucky, go see Brian.

And Egypt.

Knoxville showed up for Trade Night at Covenant Health Park šŸ¤ Pretty incredible what can happen when good people, local businesses, and a community come together around an ideaā€¦and make it happen in less than a week!!

Huge thank you to everyone who helped bring this one to life, everyone who participated, and everyone who came out and supported it šŸ«¶

And weā€™re already back in the lab cooking up whatā€™s nextā€¦ šŸ‘€ The goal is simple: keep finding creative ways to bring the Knoxville community together, create some cool experiences, and maybe get outside the fluorescent ballroom every once in a while šŸ˜‚

Wellā€¦I guess itā€™s official šŸ‘‘ Welcome to Cardboard Rich.

An idea thatā€™s been living in my head for a while is officially becoming something real. More stories. More people. More shows. More of the hobby I loveā€¦and hopefully a brand that becomes bigger than any one person.

This interview was the first time I really got to talk about what Iā€™m building, why Iā€™m building it, and where I hope we can take it.
