If I could give one tip to families just starting their homeschool journey, it would be this: find your people. Find your community.
Homeschooling can feel overwhelming at firstโฆ youโre figuring out curriculum, routines, expectations, and probably second-guessing yourself along the way. But the moment you plug into a community, everything changes.
Find a local co-op. Find a park group. Find the moms who are a few steps ahead and the families walking right beside you. These are the people who share ideas, swap resources, pray with you, celebrate your wins, and remind you that youโre not alone on the hard days.
This week was the perfect example of why community matters. Our co-op came together for a friendship Valentineโs exchange with 77 kidsโฆ and it was pure joy. Our kids had so much fun creating their boxes, but even more fun filling their friendsโ boxes with little Valentine surprises. Moments like that remind us that homeschool doesnโt mean missing outโฆ it means building something intentional together.
Your kids gain friendships, group learning experiences, and memories theyโll carry for years. And you? You gain encouragement, support, and a village walking alongside you on the journey.
Because homeschooling isnโt just about what your kids learnโฆ itโs about who you walk with while youโre learning it. ๐ค
