I’m convinced trash bags have a shorter lifespan in my house than anything else we own.

Because how is it possible…

I just changed the bag.
I literally just tied the last one up, took it out, put a fresh one in, turned around…

And somehow it’s already full again.

Not halfway.
Not slowly getting there.

Full.

Like it skipped the entire process and went straight to the end.

And the craziest part is my wife moves like a silent operator.
No noise.
No warning.
Just suddenly… more stuff than before.

At this point I’m not even asking what’s being thrown away.
I’m trying to understand where it was hiding.

Because there’s no way all of this existed five minutes ago.

It feels like I’m stuck in a loop where the moment I create space…
it immediately gets filled again.

And I can’t tell if that’s just how a house works…
or if I’m living with someone who has access to a secret inventory I don’t know about.

So now I need to know…

Is this a universal experience…

Or is there someone out there who changes the trash bag and actually gets to enjoy an empty one for more than 30 seconds?

You ever finish the dishes… take that deep breath… look at the clean sink like you just accomplished something real…

And then out of nowhere…

One more pot appears.

Not a cup.
Not a spoon.
A full pot.

Now, everything in you pauses.

Because this isn’t about the pot anymore.
This is about principle.

You already did your part.
You showed up.
You handled it.

So why does it feel like the universe is testing you right at the finish line?

Part of you says just wash it and be done.
The other part says absolutely not… we are not starting another cycle.

And somehow that one pot carries more weight than the entire sink you just finished.

Because now it’s a decision.

Do you keep the momentum going…
Or do you declare the kitchen officially closed?

I’ve realized this moment says a lot about a person.

Some people reset everything no matter what.
Some people draw a line and stand on it.

And honestly… I understand both.

So now I need to know…

When that last pot shows up after you’re done…

Are you washing it… leaving it… or pretending you didn’t see it at all?
