Last November I planted about 40-50 flower bulbs and have been waiting for them to start sprouting. I have some Hyacinth, Tulip, Daffodil, Ranunculus, Anemone, & Fresia sprouts coming up!

What is your favorite spring time flower? 🌸🌷

Mine is the Daffodil. There is an old house on our families land that has hundreds of yellow and white daffodils in the front yard. It is the most beautiful sight 💛

There's nothing more special to me than this right here. Growing up, my Nana would make the absolute best Red Velvet Cake. I remember sitting on the counter in my Paw Paw’s X-Large white T-shirt as she’d carefully measure her ingredients and mix them all together. She would ice that three-layer cake so perfectly that it looked like it came out of Southern Living Magazine. After she passed I thought I'd never have it again. But after a lot of trial and error I finally perfected her famous Red Velvet Cake ❤️

Nana’s Red Velvet Cake

2 1/4 Cup of All-Purpose Flour
2-4 Teaspoons of Cocoa Powder
(Tip: if you like to have a more chocolaty Red Velvet Cake add 6 Teaspoons of Cocoa Powder. This will also make the color a darker red opposed to the bright red this recipe makes.)
2 1/2 Teaspoons of Baking Powder
1/4 Teaspoon of Baking Soda
1/2 Teaspoon of Salt
1/2 Cup of Unsalted Butter
1/2 Cup of Vegetable Oil
1 1/2 Cup of Sugar
2 Teaspoons of Vanilla Extract
4 Large Eggs
2 Teaspoons of White Vinegar
4 Teaspoons of Red Food Coloring.

Now to the icing (I don’t use exact measurements when making mine but this might help someone)

16 ounces of Cream Cheese
3/4 Cup of Unsalted Butter
10 Cups of Powdered Sugar
2 Teaspoons of Vanilla Extract.
A cup of finely chopped Pecans.
