Loaded up and headed out to cook the 2026 Smokin for Special Olympics! 🔥

This is always a great contest for a great cause, and the organizer does a heck of a job putting it all together. Had a pretty good cook, and the judges seemed to agree… somewhat. 😂

I really enjoy doing a rib contest as a solo cook. The 30-minute turn-in times make it a little easier to manage everything by myself, and I can just run my own boxes and do my thing.

When the dust settles here is how we did.

So haven’t really been cooking much lately sometimes real life gets in the way. Decided to cook in the Meats My Mistress Pork Steak invitational. Luckily I made the cut. Cooked these bad boys with a great rub combination of SoFa King Awesome Products top secret meat dust. Guess I’m spoiling the secret and Royal Pecan. Then topped off with Weekend Bum BBQ OG rub. Finished off with Crooked Que BBQ and Catering Buzzkill sauce. Amazing flavor. If you haven’t tried this explosion of flavor you are missing out.
