Join flutist Kaleem Kheshgi & Little Giant Studio for a 2-hour pedal playground workshop designed for horn players curious about effects pedals and sound exploration. After a quick intro to mics, signal chains, and pedal basics, you’ll get hands-on time at several pedal stations to experiment, collaborate, and create wild new sounds. Bring your horn, bring your curiosity—and if you’ve got gear you want to share, feel free to bring that too!

ANNOUNCING the 2nd workshop in our education series…Little Giant Studio presents: ‘Copyrights, Publishing & Royalties’

The music industry is full of creative expression—but when it comes to the legal and financial side of things, many artists are left in the dark. Copyright, publishing, royalties, and intellectual property are critical concepts that directly impact how musicians earn money and protect their work, yet these topics are rarely taught in traditional music programs. This workshop is designed to shed light on what often feels like a black box.

Led by attorney and founder of Order in the Pit, Gwen, this session offers a clear and approachable introduction to the business side of music—empowering artists with the tools and knowledge to understand their rights, register their songs properly, and start collecting what they’re owed.

About ‘Order In The Pit’:
Order In The Pit is an anti-profit passion project and educational resource created for the purpose of demystifying the complexities of the legal and business sides of the music industry. Order In The Pit was created for you, the independent alternative artist, to arm you with knowledge so that you can be a strong advocate for yourself and others, and sidestep some common rookie mistakes and misunderstandings. While the information delivered by Order In The Pit is not a substitute for formal legal advice or business consulting (nor should it be construed as such), attendees will walk away with a better understanding of key concepts, concrete starting points for further research, and a sense of community.

A collaboration between two of the Hilltop’s coolest businesses: Death Comes Lifting & Little Giant Studio!

Sound Body & Mind is a unique yoga series that blends movement, breath, and live music to create an immersive mind-body experience. Join The Death Comes Lifting Crypt Keeper, Zak Bellante, as he guides us through a special Vinyasa yoga class designed to summon strength, flexibility, restoration, and good vibes—INSIDE a music studio.

This special session will be set to a live soundtrack by multi-instrumentalist Drew Bayura, who has spent the last decade exploring the immersive power of sound. Known for crafting bespoke grooves, moods, and melodies, Drew will help shape the energy of the class in real time, creating a sonic atmosphere that enhances every breath and movement.

Our studio remodel is (more or less) complete. More photos & video to come but with one wall removal and a little feng shui, we’ve increased our usable space by over 50% & the overall flow of the space feels WAY more conducive for larger productions & events with an audience. We’ve also grown our production & gear list by a lot. More on it later.

I admit that I do not ask for a lot of help but over the last few months, so many of you (tagged here) have stepped in to make this happen, & our community is better for it. I can’t thank y’all enough and am excited for the future of this studio.
