Thanks to all who came out to Mixtape last night to celebrate Erica’s birthday. Special thanks to Jeff and Grace at Mixtape for providing such a fantastic and supportive environment. Erica Scary, KellyA, and The Comeback Kid were wonderful DJs who excelled at spinning musical magic and merriment throughout the evening.

Another action packed weekend with multiple birthday celebrations and DJ events to do/goto, a 5k race and the annual block party both in my neighborhood (sadly will be missing the latter), and a concert.

Special shout out to Meguiar’s line of products, specifically their PlastX headlight restorer.

Several years ago I sprayed an organic insect spray in my house (had aerosolized tea tree and lemon grass oils).

This glommed on to the acrylic covers of two of my turntables (one Dual and one Audio Technica). They looked like they had caught a form of plastic pox.

Fast forward to a few days ago… I finally de-lazified myself (it’s a thing I do only too well 😉), did the research, and applied the product to both using a soft buffer (attached to a power drill) and microfiber towels to remove the product. After Several applications about 85% of the mottling from the insect spray is gone with no surface damage to the covers (à la Haysi Fantayzee’s Shiny Shiny). Very satisfied with the results so far.

Story only a DJ or vinyl aficionado may care about but I’m putting it out there. Share with anyone needing a product to clean/restore turntable covers. 🤗♥️
