A while back, I bought a birthday gift for a child based on their mom’s recommendation.
She told me exactly what to get—something educational, quiet, and practical.
So I did.
The gift was beautifully wrapped, thoughtful, and… totally not what the child wanted.
He opened it, paused politely, and then reached for the noisy, light-up toy his cousin brought.
That moment stuck with me.
The gift was fine. The intention was good.
But it wasn’t for him. It was what someone else thought he should want.
And honestly? That’s precisely what happens with content sometimes.
You show up, share helpful tips, try to be professional, valuable, and polished.
But if you’re not speaking directly to the person you actually want to reach, it falls flat.
It’s not that the content is wrong—it’s just not aligned.
You don’t need to create more content.
You need content that’s built for your dream client, in your voice, with your message.
