My latest collection, 𝚄𝚗𝚍𝚎𝚛𝚠𝚊𝚝𝚎𝚛 𝚃𝚢𝚙𝚎𝚠𝚛𝚒𝚝𝚎𝚛 & 𝙾𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛 𝚃𝚊𝚕𝚎𝚜, contains some of my favorite pieces of short fiction that I've written in recent years. The title story lived in my head for years before I even started writing it. I guess that's how I knew it was a worthwhile writing project -- the idea stuck around. I wanted to explore the concept of cursed objects, otherworldly terrors, and an older writer whose fictional character finds a way into our world to wreak havoc. "Mate, Spawn, and Die" is a tale I penned under a ridiculous pseudonym created for select Godless releases, Scabs McDumpster (who also wrote such fine works as "The Drip" and "The Ballad of Dickfingers McGee"). "Mate, Spawn, and Die" just popped into my head, and although I wrote it in one day, I was surprisingly happy with how it turned out. "Here, in the Hell We've Made" is another tale I wrote for an anthology, and it's arguably the best thing I wrote in the latter half of 2025. "Kid Hazard" resulted from an invitation to appear in Uncomfortably Dark's Trapped anthology. For that one, I wrote about a young street artist who tags a heaven spot during a hurricane evacuation, and he ends up in a tense situation involving a m**h user with a pet alligator, a shuttle full of elderly folks, and a serial killer who may not be entirely human. I wrote my novella "Red Falls" for a split release with the talented Daemon Manx in 2022. I wanted to write a different kind of vampire tale, mix in some folk horror, and include the scary political and social shifts happening in the U.S. at the time. And finally, the book's closer, "Rains for Violet," is a piece of grief horror I wrote a few years ago. When it was rejected by a publisher, I revisited the story, improved it, and decided to include it in this book. This collection is my return to the world of writing and publishing after a long break. For that reason, I've kept the price low, which I prefer to do anyway. $2.99 for ebook and $11.99 for paperback. Unfortunately, I can't make it any lower than that, but I would if I could. A heartfelt thank you to each individual who buys a copy.
