On Saturday, November 1st, 8PM, at the Original Pittsburgh Winery in the Strip District, a group of activist Pittsburgh musicians, artists and supporters, will host a concert to raise critical funds for relief efforts of the World Central Kitchen in Gaza. One hundred percent of donations will go directly to famine relief.
We want peace for everyone. Israel’s government military response to events of October 7th, 2023, has been horrendously disproportionate with the support of our tax dollars. We have rarely seen, broadcast to the world, a situation where a group of people are systemically caged, targeted, abused, starved, and prevented from setting down their roots and raising their families on their own ancestral lands. There are now famine conditions on the ground and those who study such matters have recently declared it a genocide. Of course, we decry any anti-Semitism.
The need for support for World Central Kitchen for Gaza is imperative. While there are so many good causes to support, the children and women in Gaza are especially vulnerable in the midst of the perilous war zone, in which the Israeli military continue to strike. The volunteers and staff of World Central Kitchen for Gaza put their lives on the line every day with the worry of bombs dropping overhead.
In the long run, we want peace. On Saturday, November 1st, we want to show our support to help feed the people of Gaza now.
We’re honored to feature an incredible lineup of performers, including:
Bill Toms - Phat Man Dee - Andre Costello - Liz McBride - Mark Dignam - Kelsey Jumper - Lauren DeMichiei - David Dickinson - Abbey Martin - Art Donsky

Travis Dodge: Originating from rural Minnesota, Travis Dodge is a local Pittsburgh performer who blends punk, pop, and rock to produce a unique style of songwriting. Using poignant and personal lyrics he creates songs that are as catchy as they are moving.
Maleena: Maleena is a Pittsburgh-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Drawing from her own life experiences, her songs are both deeply personal and universally relatable. With three albums under her belt, Maleena has a large catalog of music spanning from acoustic driven singer-songwriter tracks, to top-40 style pop songs, and even hardcore punk tracks.
Art D: Raised on Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie, Odetta and more, Art brings OG vibes to his music. An Acousticafe regular, Art enjoys an eclectic approach to his music. He employs Travis-style finger-picking, weird capos, and good ol’ fashioned blues licks. Art’s been writing and singing a mix of topical songs and with a few love songs with the help of his Tabby/Bengal mix, Mettha.

About Steel Kitty Productions

A new production company called Steel Kitty Productions (SKP) was officially launched in 2015 as the official booking team for all of Pittsburgh’s Favorite Things. The SKP team has been busy developing an innovative and exciting concert and events series that will run year-round, featuring music, art and comedy acts local to the Steel City.

“Top-notch headliners have had tons of support in Pittsburgh from promoters like Drusky Entertainment and Opus One. Those teams do a magnificent job in attracting large venue talent to Pittsburgh. I am in this for the local music scene. My mission is to connect the Pittsburgh community residents with some of my favorite acts in town. There is so much talent here and my shows feature those hard working talents folks with new fans who probably live right around the block.” Debra Cook – founder of Steel Kitty Productions. With the objective of further establishing musicians of the Pittsburgh Music Scene in the hearts of all residents of the Steel City, Steel Kitty Productions is already in full swing of creating an incredibly entertaining line up of shows for 2020. The Steel Kitty team will also produce innovative and dynamic events that constructively engage and enhance the communities of the Greater Pittsburgh Region.
