It’s with heavy hearts that we share this GoFundMe for our Sister Brittany Deller of the Paint Dept. Brittany is a single mom that has always done anything she could to make sure her children were cared for. She just lost her 23-year-old son, Jordan, tragically and wants to give him a proper, loving burial.

We are asking that the film community come together and show your love and support in this time of devastation.

It's with heavy hearts we pass on the news that our sister Jeannee Josefczyk passed away this morning. A constant and vibrant presence on set here in Pittsburgh as a make-up artist for the past 39 years, Jeannee was a good friend to so many of us. She was a member of IATSE 798 and 209. She was nominated for the Georgie Award from IATSE 706 for the HBO series "THE CORNER". She did makeup for countless films and commercials and several United States Presidents. She herself was president of the Pittsburgh Film Workers Association, was instrumental in the founding of the Pittsburgh Film Office, and served on the board of the PAFIA and Women in Film. She was always the first to volunteer when someone needed help from movie work to collecting stuffed animals for area police stations to distribute to children in crises.

She will be missed.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at the Redmond Funeral Home, Inc., 524 High Street, Freeport.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM on Friday, October 4th at St. Mary, Mother of God Church, 608 High Street, Freeport.

Please join IATSE Local 489 in the Pittsburgh Labor Day Parade on Monday, September 2nd at 8:00am to line up. The parade begins at 10:00.

489 will be gathering on Crawford Street near Wylie Ave. Look for the big slate! 🎬

We will have T-shirts, donuts, and hot dogs for anyone attending, as well as candy to pass out!
