Dear friends/fam/fans -
I don’t usually share a lot of personal stuff but I’ve recently been through the worst thing I could imagine. My wife and I recently lost our baby at 5-6 months pregnant. It was unexpected and a total shock. We’re devastated and it’s totally flipped my world upside down. Grief can feel like doing everything with a weighted vest on. Life just feels a little more tiring right now. Everything is grayer and duller than usual which is such a stark contrast to the vivid joy and excitement of playing shows. I’ve learned over the years that many different things can be true at once even if it’s hard to make sense of it all and the only way out is through. Many people have shared with me and the band over the years how our music has helped you through difficult moments in life and even though it’s kind of scary for me to share this news, it feels too big to hold it all in. I know that playing music through these times will be therapeutic for me in some way and I look forward to everything we have lined up. I’m super grateful to have amazing bandmates and crew and I just love what we’re doing lately. Just know that I’m a little raw and I appreciate your love and support more than ever.
