What triggered this admission and why are they saying it now, considering they are not going to “go into the past and blame (Corey’s explanation in press conference) Gainey or explain the $40million missing money. We are going to go forward.”
They will not explain the money they took from the rainy day fund or how they intend to replace those required funds.
That’s an $87million unexplained budget loss that they profess to not need to raise taxes or cut nonessential services to fill the losses. O’Connor says no to both. WHY?
If it’s business as usual and accepted to the point they feel there is no need to do anything, why say anything at all. You could have just ignored it and moved on, but you didn’t. O’Connor is exposing obvious corruption but not blaming Gainey and fluffing off finding the missing money or replacing the borrowed money.
They are basically floating their own bond that they never have to repay or reveal where the money went. P**F , what $87million problem?
This is a conspiracy to commit the crime of fraud.
Get it out of the way now so it doesn’t drag on and gain traction. No more questions we want to move forward and talk about the draft and our administration filling 50 empty store fronts with private grants.
NO ONE WILL REMEMBER ANYTHING BUT THE DRAFT IN 4years
Pittsburgh could be facing a severe budget shortfall of up to $40 million this year, according to projections revealed Thursday by Mayor Corey O’Connor, leaving his young administration scrambling to figure out how to cover costs. O’Connor blamed inaccurate predictions and “a lot o...
