🗺️ MAPPING THE MECHANICS
🔹 Randomly spin to pick a winning condition
🔹 ROLL ROLL ROLL AS FAST AS YOU CAN
🔹 First person to get 1-6 yells STOP
🔹STOP Pick one dice of each number and fill in your matching boxes, trying to achieve a full line, or two!

📒 NAVIGATOR’S LOG
Something I enjoyed about Sixem is that it brings you one of the great thing about dice games: so many of them make everyone on the same playing field. There isn’t a competition (yet) of who has better cards or a better position, everyone is left to the RNG.

This takes it a step further and ups the strategy beyond just simply rolling dice by thinking, and thinking FAST, what colors and numbers do I want to keep to achieve the goal? All while racing against someone else who is trying to roll the perfect 1-6 to stop the round because after all, you need as many numbers as you can get and not waste them - no repeats!

I was thrilled this one encouraged quick thinking on numbers. As the adult, I enjoyed the fast paced and quick strategy, and then Christopher enjoyed how quickly he was able to learn and jump right in.

I was thrilled this was such a hit! Christopher gave it his “seal of approval”

The usual was transformed to Sunday evening solo today when Finding Calm came to my table.

This is a gem of a game I’ve been playing nearly every day this week. It takes about 15 minutes, and I flip to a page to read something positive, motivating, or uplifting.

It’s a great, relaxing puzzle style card game with stunning artwork, and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every time I’ve played it.

Scrabble: Texas Spell ‘Em by and landed on the table this afternoon

🧭 Scrabble meets Poker!

🗺️ MAPPING THE MECHANICS
Roll letters on the dice, put some into the community board (a nod to the Flop, Turn, River) and three secret dice in your own tray. Once you’re confident with your word, everyone bids and the highest bid gets extra points!

📒 CAPTAIN’S LOG
This turned normal Scrabble into a fun betting contest to see who could get the highest word! With a shared community pool of 5 dice, it certainly made you think more creatively with your personal 3 dice to come up with the best word. My oldest had fun trying to make chemistry words out of them… so this could be a great studying twist to practice vocabulary, even for college students.
