Some of you have probably noticed some anomalies with the station over the last 3 weeks. You aren't imagining it. It began with a failing drive. That would have been fine if that's all that happened. Replacing the drive impacted the music data. As a result, the daily musical selections turned the station into something that you would tune into on the car radio. Where you hear almost the same songs every day. That was unacceptable. It took several weeks to find the root cause. At this point I believe that I've repaired all issues. So, Happy Listening!!!!

Since 2014, Canned Jams Radio has been playing an eclectic mix of music for the discerning listener. If you think that good music is a thing of the past then you haven't tuned in. Country and Bluegrass in the morning followed by "My Generation" through out the afternoon. My Generation attempts to fill in all the holes in today's "Classic Rock" playlists. Then in the early evening enjoy an extended period of "Coffee House". Targeted at adults, Coffee House is a "formatless" collection of varied genres and decades of quality music handed picked to take the listener on an audio roller coaster ride. Made up of timeless familiar tracks and soon to be new favorites Coffee House is what headphones were made for. Remember, "Friends don't let friends listen to mainstream radio". For those listeners that tune in via the FM airwaves, I'm sorry to report that my FM transmitter finally went silent. But fear not, another one has been ordered and is on its way. Give it a week and things should be back to normal.

Started in 2016 Canned Jams Radio is about the music that you don’t always get to hear on main stream radio. If you have lived long enough to remember what radio once was, then you probably wonder whatever happened to listener supported radio. Well, believe it or not, it’s still there. Just not for you. You see, you are not their target audience and therefore the music of your generation (I mean all of it) is irrelevant. Worse yet, new music that you might enjoy is mysteriously absent from the airwaves. The music they offer is intended for generation x, y & z. No offense, it is their country now after all. That said, we’re not dead yet and still enjoy quality music. So, Canned Jams Radio is attempt to right that wrong as such. We believe music serves as an extremely important milestone in our lives and should not be left to younger Americans who frankly don’t get it. Enough blather. Listen, enjoy, comment or all or none of the above.
