Double Vision Editorial

Double Vision Editorial At Double Vision Editorial, one pair of eyes is never enough. Perfect your project, book, or website with creative, fun, and dedicated editors.

Double Vision Editorial owner and editorial guru Danielle Poiesz has run the publishing gamut since graduating from Boston University with a degree in English Literature. From sales and editorial, to business development, digital/online, and self-publishing, to strategic innovations and tech; from Macmillan to Simon & Schuster to Penguin to freelance editorial work, she’s gathered a wealth of experience. And through it all, one thing has always stayed the same: her love of the written word. Danielle has an endless passion for helping writers grow, and helping readers find the books that touch them (or even change their lives!) has always been the driving force of her career. As owner and editorial guru at Double Vision Editorial, she is poised to help fill the world with eye-opening, meaningful, and, of course, entertaining literature. (And her love of film and experience in script analysis just transfers that passion and position to the silver screen!) But Danielle also believes in the power of the written word in other forms. A roundabout, unfocused thesis structure can kill a point (and not in the good way). Well-written and engaging copy can make a website or product sale. An unclear instruction manual can create not only a pile of poor reviews, but can also cause a loss of customers. Words are important, and the right words, expressed properly and with an appropriate voice and flair, are even more so. There is no writing project too big or too small for Danielle to care about. Even if you aren’t sure how she can help, she’s always willing to discuss what she can do to better your project. Her experienced hand is always there to reach for with confidence, optimism, and plain old trust. She is also a firm believer that working as a team is the best way to perfect any project, and so she works with you, not just for you. The editorial process is not just on paper for Danielle, either—she will guide you as best she can in your goals, whether it’s by pointing you toward useful resources, introducing you to mutually beneficial members of her vast network, or simply sharing with you what she knows and giving you her honest and heartfelt support. You’ll get to know her personally, as well as professionally, along the way…and hopefully have some fun in the process.

Mission: At Double Vision, we believe that just one pair of eyes is never enough. With the help of an imaginative and trained editorial specialist, an initial vision and inspiration can be amplified and deepened to give any project a broader appeal and brighter shine. But making it possible to perfect any project involves teamwork, mutual respect, trust, joint effort, and of course, creativity. The client-editor relationships brought about through Double Vision aim to be professional and personal partnerships that last for longer than just the course of a single project.

I don’t know who did this, but thank you.

How the Hell Has Danielle Steel Managed to Write 179 Books?

I would spend all day reading Danielle Steel novels during summer vacation in my teens. I’d take eight books out of the library at a time and just devour them. Then I started to realize they all had the exact same story structure. But somehow, they were still so engaging. She truly proves that storytelling is all about voice.

Chocolate bars, cashmere nightgowns, and a tireless work ethic help.

So excited for our author Julie Johnstone! Her books are true labors of love and so much fun. If you like historical romance and haven’t read Julie’s books, you need to!

OH MY GOSH!!!
I am stupefied and humbled to be number 1 in two categories on release day! This has never happened for me before, and I just want to say thank you so, so much to every single one of you who buys my books and loves my characters as much as I do! Writing is a pretty solitary business usually, and to be able to share in the joy of the moment makes my heart feel like it's going to burst!
