Just Enough Time to Deliver the Message ~Thanks Braingle

Justin Case and Auntie Bellum are fellow con artists who deliver coded messages to each other to communicate. Recently Auntie Bellum was put in jail for stealing a rare and expensive diamond. Only a few days after this, Justin Case sent her a friendly letter asking her how she was. On the inside of the envelope of the letter, he hid a code. Yesterday, Auntie Bellum escaped and left the envelope and the letter inside the jail cell. The police did some research and found the code on the inside of the envelope, but they haven't been able to crack it. Could you help the police find out what the message is?

This is the code:

A student asked me today, "if you could have any super power, what would it be?" Hmmm, let's see. I truly think that the ability to slow time down would be a great super power to have. I've always needed more hours in the day and more days in the year to get everything done. The ability to slow time would definitely help get everything done.

What do you think? If you could have any super power, what would it be?

Ready for our Weekly Braingle Thinker

Since it's Triathlon at North Shore Day Camp, see if you can solve this Logic problem called Triathlon.

During the latest round of the Braingle triathlon, Parker was fourth. Adrian is not the oldest, but is older than Duncan, who was not second. The child who was next in age to the youngest, finished second. The child who finished in third place is older than the child who finished first. Antonio is younger than the child who finished in third place. Can you determine who finished where and place the children in order of age?

This Grandma Went Running Through The Rain! When I Found Out Why, I Was Covered In CHILLS!

We all need a little washing every now and again. Great video!

Often in life, we need to be reminded that things aren’t as bad as they seem. We forget to soak up the moments that are given to us, and to never take anything–like the feeling of rain against our skin–for granted. When this little girl asked to run through the rain, everyone thought it was just the…

This weeks Self Esteem mystery from Braingle.

As the school year was progressing, a teacher was distressed that more and more of her students were beginning to tease and make fun of one another. She decided to do something about it. When they returned to the classroom after Spring Break, they saw a mirror on the wall with a sign next to it.
When one of the students came to her crying about the names she had been called at recess, she sent the girl to the mirror with these directions: Read that sign quietly to yourself. Repeat it over and over, gradually running the sounds together. Each time, look at yourself in the mirror. Soon you will be smiling.
Sure enough, when the student followed these directions, she came away smiling.
Each time a student would come to the teacher feeling low, she would give them the same directions. Sometimes they would have difficulty, so she would go over to read the sign with them. Eventually, each one would come away smiling.
This is what the sign said: I.Y.Q.Y.Q.R.

Why did this little exercise help her students feel better about themselves?

Very cool!!!!!
