Congratulations to Justin + Cate on their engagement!💍 We went out to Saugatuck with Rebecca L Photography on Friday, May 3rd, to help capture this moment and I couldn't have smiled more behind my camera! Both sets of parents came together to help Justin pull off the most gorgeous surprise proposal. It warmed my heart so much to watch as they worked together to set up this Bachelor-worthy spot on the beach, where Justin would soon pop the question. Justin's mom was telling us that she was praying so hard all week that the weather forecast for Friday evening would clear up, and as you can see the weather was perfect! The excitement and anticipation built as the sun started moving toward the horizon and Justin + Cate's parents were hiding in the tall grass as we waited for their signal! When they got there, Cate quickly spotted the set up on the beach... thinking it was for someone else!!!! It wasn't until they got a little closer when she realized what was happening. Although I didn't run to the other side in time to see her face (ya'll, running in sand with a heavy camera is HARD lol) we all knew she was in complete shock. Cate was surprised once again when she turned around to both of their moms cheering and jumping from behind the grass! All-in-all it was a wonderful night. We all enjoyed the golden sunset as Rebecca L Photography and I documented this celebration. I wish nothing but happiness for these two long-time sweethearts! Let us know when the wedding is because now we're invested in this love story 😁💕
