Friday evening was dreary as a small storm front came through the DMV. I was fortunate to capture some nice cloud formation and the last MARC train of the week at the Point of Rocks (MD/USA) train station. Hope you like...feel free to let me know what you like/don't like...enjoy your weekend! :)

I spent the morning with fellow members of the Frederick Camera Click watching and photographing dog training at Dynamic Dog Sports in Adamstown (MD/USA). Photographing these events can be challenging as they require specific skills in order to capture the speed, accuracy and angle as these dogs run through the course obstacles. Suffice to say, I have a lot of blurry photos as my learning curve was steep. :)

An "egg crate" grille is a distinctive automotive design characterized by a small, repeating grid pattern, resembling an egg carton, which was prominently used on Chevrolet vehicles to signify premium styling, particularly in the mid-1950s and early-to-mid 1970s. These grilles offered a bold, luxurious appearance and were iconic.

some say the first sign of Spring is seeing a Robin...some say the first sign of Spring is Memorial Day...I argue it is when you get the first classic car meet of the year...

Thanks to Fredneck 4X4 for sponsoring the inaugural Cruise-In event Saturday evening in Frederick (MD/USA)...nice turn out and looking forward to next month's event.

BTW...if you are able to help me with the year of this Ford Anglia, that would be great...I forgot to ask its very courteous owner.

...working on finalizing a Maryland Eastern Shore photo week for later this month as well as separate trips to southwestern Virginia and the West Virginia New River Gorge...maybe I will run into a few of my friends along the way...in the meantime, please enjoy what was a quick (and wet) trip to St. Joseph on the Carrolton Manor which is located just outside Frederick (MD/USA)...Mother Nature gave me a few minutes to compose my shots between the rainstorm and sunset...enjoy the rest of the week, everyone.

While you cannot see any Amtrak insignia (tough to do without heavy editing/masking in Photoshop), the distinct blue and red lines on the passenger cars as well as the green lighting at each car door cannot be mistaken.

I do love this method of long exposure although it is so hit/miss until I can improve my timing/camera settings. Frustration can certainly be high when you only have a couple opportunities per day on this specific rail line and only a few seconds each time. Perhaps I should head to the BWI station someday to improve my odds... :)
