On August 6, 2025, His Excellency General Tea Seiha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence, along with a senior military delegation of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, met with Admiral Samuel Paparo, Commander of the United States Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM), and His Excellency Edgard Kagan, United States Ambassador to Malaysia.

The United States pledged to provide crucial logistical and technical support to expedite the establishment of the ASEAN Monitoring Team (AMT).
